Researchers and Clinicians from University of Liverpool, Alder Hey Children’s NHS Foundation Trust, and the NIHR Alder Hey Clinical Research Facility (CRF) were part of the reception at Clarence House with Her Majesty the Queen Consort marking the 10th anniversary of Duchenne UK, the UK’s leading Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy Charity.
These teams are involved in a range of studies, from drug trials, gene therapy, to pioneering new wheelchair designs and exoskeletons (such as that recently shown on BBC news, and all the teams locally are excited about continuing to work with such a forward thinking, active charity, all with the same goal: to give all those with Duchenne the rich and long life they deserve.
