Members of the Liverpool FC Women squad visited Alder Hey on Tuesday to meet some of our children, families and staff ahead of Christmas.
Following on from the visit from the men’s team on Monday, member’s of the Liverpool Women squad alongside manager Matt Beard visited our Neonatal Ward, Ward 1C, which is our cardiac ward and our Renal Ward to hand out gifts and to chat to families staying there.
They then spent time near our Christmas tree handing our presents and posing for photos.
It puts a lot of things into perspective. All the families we have met today, we hope and wish them well”
LFC Women captain Niamh Fahey
Niamh said: “There’s a lot of families that need some support, so it’s just to say we’re here to support you as Liverpool Football Club as well, it’s important that people know that it’s not just on the pitch, it’s away from the pitch as well.
“They [the Alder Hey staff] are incredible, they do an amazing job and they are really heroes.”
We would like to say a huge and heartfelt thanks to them for their continued support.
