Reconstituting Omeprazole 10mg in 5ml at home (263kB)
Introduction
There are two bottles contained within the outer carton.
- Bottle 1 is the powder
- Bottle 2 is the diluent
Instructions
- Gently shake bottle 1 (large bottle) to loosen the powder
- Take the caps off both bottles
- Pour the liquid from bottle 2 (small bottle) into bottle 1
- Put the cap back on bottle 1 and shake it for at least 30 seconds.
- After 30 seconds, take off the cap and insert the bottle adapter (bung) into the neck (top) of the bottle
- Write the expiry date on bottle 1, this is 30 days from the date you have mixed the 2 bottles together
- Throw away bottle 2
How to store omeprazole 10mg in 5ml suspension
All medicines should be stored safely out of the reach and sight of children.
- Before you make up the suspension Store below 25°C. Store in the original package
- After you have made up the suspension. Store in the refrigerator at 2°C to 8°C
