About the Catkin Centre
The Catkin Centre is situated on our Children’s Health Campus and is next to Sunflower House. It is a community, mental health and outpatients building and is home to several outpatient clinics including:
- Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
- Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
- Developmental Paediatrics
- Liverpool CAMHS (CAMHS stands for Community Adolescent Mental Health Service) – some CAMHS appointments also take place at our Innovation Park clinic
- Eating Disorder Services
- Crisis Care Team
Features of the Catkin Centre include an outdoor courtyard area with lots of beautiful nature and plants, and a facility called Changing Places, which is where children with a disability can get washed or changed.
The Catkin Centre has 12 counselling rooms, eight clinical rooms, three family therapy rooms. It also has an Arts Therapy Room and a quiet sensory room for children who struggle with noisy or busy environments.
Throughout the Catkin Centre, we have amazing artwork from artist Lucy Casson.
The Catkin Centre has benefitted from funding from Alder Hey Children’s Charity 7in10 Mental Health Appeal. To find out how to get to Catkin Centre and where to park go to our locations section.
