Salim Jivanji is a Paediatric Cardiology Consultant at Alder Hey Children’s Foundation Trust & Liverpool’s Heart and Chest hospital, based in Liverpool since 2019.
Salim’s training in Congenital Cardiology has been across 3 London centres – Great Ormond Street Hospital, Royal Brompton Hospital and Evelina London Children’s Hospital.
Salim is also a Trustee of Healing Little Hearts – a UK Charity which sends teams to various low to middle income countries to treat and train their local teams in the management of patients with congenital heart disease. Salim also forms part of the medical board which discuss, complex cases seen by Healing Little Hearts, that need to be operated on in other established centres.
Salim is currently working with various groups in Liverpool and London in establishing international health as a partnership with the UK government and has been recently appointed as a committee member of the Kenya UK Health Alliance (KUKHA).
Salim’s special interests are percutaneous valve implantation, complex neonatal interventions, safety in the catheter lab and sustainable international congenital care.
