Based on the main Hospital site, our Catkin Centre will provide a new home for a number of outpatient services including Neurodevelopment, Mental Health, assessment and diagnosis for ASD and AHD and Health Psychology.
Acting as a bridge between Hospital and Home, the Centre will ensure children and young people receive specialist care when needed, alongside care within the community.
The Centre will include engagement space, quiet rooms, consulting rooms, family therapy rooms, crisis care rooms, art/music therapy room, offices and meeting space.
Our new Catkin Centre will provide the opportunity for a more joined up working approach to care between mental health and physical health service, which often jointly care for children with a range of difficulties. By bringing services together under one roof, we will be able to achieve better outcomes for children, young people and families and deliver improved efficiencies through more effective ways of working.
This will be hugely beneficial to our most complex children and young people, who often require a number of clinical services to work in partnership to deliver their care.
