A tiny baby has beaten coronavirus after spending two weeks in isolation at Alder Hey. Nurses clapped and cheered for little Erin, who was diagnosed with the virus 14 days ago.
The six-month-old, believed to be one of the youngest in Merseyside to catch Covid-19, has been kept in a separate room with her mum before miraculously beating the illness. In a touching video, nurses at the children’s hospital were brought to tears as they clapped and cheered for Erin when was she moved out of isolation. Erin remains in hospital to receive treatment for other ongoing conditions but is thankfully doing well.
Praising the amazing staff who treated Erin, her mum Emma described our staff as “truly amazing”.
“Thank you so much to each and every one of them, we couldn’t have got through it without them.
They are all truly amazing and we will be forever grateful.”
