Alder Hey to reopen vaccine hub - Saturday 15th and Sunday 16th January

Alder Hey are happy to announce that we are bringing back our vaccine hub for a further two days.

Children and young people aged 12 years+ and all adults will be able to come to Alder Hey to get;

  • 1st and 2nd doses (children and young people aged 12-15 years)
  • All doses - 1st, 2nd and booster (16 years+)

When and Where

  • Our Vaccine Centre is being held in the Institute in the Park (adjacent to A& E Entrance of main hospital) at the Eaton Road entrance (use L12 2AP for sat navs).  Please do not enter the main hospital building.
  • Dates: Satruday 15th to Sunday 16th January 2022
  • Hours: 8:30am to 6:30pm

We are also giving people the option to book a time slot that suits on either day from 8.30am to 1pm. Click the button below to book your time slot at Alder Hey.


  • Parking: Those coming to our Vaccine Centre are encouraged to use our dedicated Alder Road car park. Use L12 2AZ for sat navs.
  • The Multi-Storey & Emergency Department car parks are strictly for patients and families attending their booked outpatient appointments, inpatient admissions, A&E service.

The following buses stop at East Prescot Road, outside Alder Hey and other surrounding roads;

  • No. 9 (East Prescot Road)

Broad Green station is approximately 1.5 miles away which connects with Liverpool Lime Sreet, Wigan and Manchester. We recommend using Merseyside Journey Planner to find the best route for you.

What to bring with you

  • Information to bring with you: Please bring your NHS number with you on the day if known and, if you are requesting 2nd or booster doses, please provide the date of your previous dose. If you are NHS staff, please bring your organisation ID as you may be asked to show this.
  • Please wear a face mask at all times and observe appropriate social distancing. Please do not attend if you have symptoms of COVID-19.
