Alder Hey staff took to the streets of Liverpool last weekend to show their Pride.
Alder Hey staff, joined by representatives of our executive team and our wonderful Forum members, were a part of the celebrations which took place in Liverpool on Saturday 27th July and included a march through the city centre.
The weather wasn't great, but they didn't let it dampen their spirits as they showed Liverpool, and the world, that Alder Hey in an inclusive LGBTQIA+ friendly hospital.
The Liverpool Pride Festival came at the end of a week in which staff at Alder Hey were given the opportunity to get their hands on their very own NHS Rainbow Badge.
Staff were asked to make a pledge in order to receive a badge and the initiative was a huge success, with more than 1,000 staff members making a pledge to support LGBTQIA+ rights.
We're looking forward to having even more staff members get involved in the celebrations next year!
