Alder Hey is undertaking research on new medicines to help stop babies and young children getting ill with RSV bronchiolitis.
RSV bronchiolitis is an infective condition, which results in dry cough wheezing and problems with breathing.
The studies are looking for healthy babies who are going into their first winter and will take place in Alder Hey’s clinical research facility.
The studies will start in September and finish in November, paving the way for preventative medicine to treat RSV bronchiolitis.
All the studies have been checked by an ethics committee and are carefully regulated, with parents fully consulted throughout the process.
