Campaign to bring patients and professionals together launches at Alder Hey
You will have seen the “hello my name is” campaign around the NHS - now it is our turn to bring it to Alder Hey.
The campaign was created by Dr Kate Granger MBE, a registrar in elderly medicine who had terminal cancer.
The campaign asks frontline NHS staff to make a pledge to introduce themselves in future to their patients.
A simple introduction between two people is the beginning of an amazing relationship, and should be at the heart of personalised healthcare.
Kate used social media to help kick start the campaign and created the now famous hashtag #hellomynameis.
The campaign for more personalised care has grown into a world wide phenomenon, with over 400,000 health workers across 90 organisations backing the initiative.
Now Alder Hey is signing up to the movement and you can watch #hellomynameis Co-Founder Chris Pointon welcome us to the campaign below!
A lot of staff already do #hellomynameis, and over the coming weeks we will be rolling out guides and tools to help even more of us to take part - watch this space!
