Making Noise With Children in Need!

26th Jul 2022

Alder Hey were delighted to welcome BBC Breakfast this morning to make some noise for Children in Need.

BBC weather journalist Owain Wyn Evans and drummer Vicky O'Neon taught some beats to assistant drummers for the day Amber and Theo, who have both benefitted from Alder Hey’s Arts for Health ‘Sound’ project. This programme, which helps to bring music, learning and enjoyment to our children and young people, has been funded by Children In Need via our Alder Hey Children’s Charity.

Alder Hey Arts Coordinator Vicky Charnock was also interviewed about how the Children in Need funding has helped patients here at Alder Hey. The 'Sound' project provides music sessions for children and young people to help with emotional well-being, positively empower them and build positive relationships.

Some of our wonderful charity ambassadors, youth forum, children and young people, and of course Pudsey Bear, then helped reveal the amazing amount raised from last year's appeal..an incredible £50,991,355! Watch the moment the amount was revealed here.

What a day!
