From the 1st April 2018 Alder Hey has agreed with NHSE (NHS England) Commissioners to take over care of a cohort of paediatric orthodontic patients from St Helens and Knowsley Hospital.
For any families whom have queries about their transfer to Alder Hey, we have a dedicated phone line that you can ring in order to find out about your child’s care, and when to expect to be seen, which is 0151 282 4832. This phone line is operational from 8.30-5.00pm Monday-Thursday.
There maybe a little wait for your child’s first appointment, however we will be able to give you reassurance that we have your child’s details and we will be contacting you to offer you an appointment. Our aim is to see your child as quickly as possible. If you need any further information about how to get to Alder Hey, please see the link below which details where to find us. Your appointment will be in Level 1 Outpatients Department, in the Dentistry, Cleft, Orthodontic and Maxillo-facial Department.
We will be assessing all of the children in terms of their clinical need and priority to ensure that children are seen safety and in a timely manner. When ringing us, please try to have your child’s NHS number to hand in order for us to be able to find their details as quickly as possible.
If you have any queries either about appointment times or any clinical concerns, please do not hesitate to let us know and ring us on our telephone number stated above.
We look forward to meeting your child and the rest of your family at your next appointment with us. If you do have any clinical correspondence that you can bring along with you to your appointment, please do so, although we do have sight of all your notes.
