Notice to all parents & patients visiting Alder Hey
As you may already be aware, the Giants are returning this week to Liverpool and the Wirral and crowds are expected to approach a million people coming to experience this over the three days.
Road closures will be strictly enforced, preventing access onto the parade route and event sites.
Access will, therefore, be inevitably effected on the roads and streets surrounding the formal road closures. Road closures (from 4th October) can be found here: Road Closures - Liverpool's Dream.
The event route maps can be downloaded from the event site here - these may assist you (if required) to navigate your way round the city.
Please be prepared for significant pressures on both the city’s roads but also public transport during the event. Merseytravel has also now published a Travel Guide for the event covering both Wirral and Liverpool which can be found here.
Please see information regarding Mersey Tunnels: Important transport information ahead of the Giant Spectacular
Full details of the event can also be found at www.giantspectacular.com
Please check timetables, plan your journeys a few days before the event and allow plenty of time getting to and from the hospital if you are near the City Centre/Wirral.
