Prime Minister Theresa May was at Alder Hey Children's Hospital earlier today to visit staff and patients and announce the Government's 10 year plan for the NHS.
The Prime Minister was joined by NHS England Chief Executive Simon Stevens and Secretary of State for Health and Social Care Matt Hancock to announce the plans.
Prior to the announcement, which took place inside Alder Hey's state-of-the-art Institute in the Park facility, Mrs May took the time to visit Ward 3C and spend some time with patients, families and staff.
The plans could see an additional £20b made available to health services in England in return for what the Prime Minister calls "cutting waste."
