Alder Hey Hospital Nursing Recruitment Event
Saturday 19th May 2018
Applications from experienced, newly qualified Nurses and Students due to qualify September 2018 are welcomed
As a world leader in healthcare and research we have built something amazing ‘Alder Hey in the Park’. A hospital for children designed and inspired by children. Along with a radical and ambitious vision, the Children’s Health Park is the future design of paediatric care and there is nothing like it anywhere else in Europe.
We have already earned our place as one of the world’s leading children’s hospitals, thanks to innovation and pioneering medical work. We treat 270,000 patients and perform over 13,000 surgical procedures every year.
Our catchment area has a population of over 7million, stretching from Cumbria, through Lancashire, Merseyside, most of Cheshire, parts of Shropshire, North Wales and the Isle of Man.
Children from nearly every part of the UK, and from around the world, visit Alder Hey for specialist treatment. We are recognised as a Centre of Excellence for children with cancer, cardiac, spinal and brain disease. We have been designated by the Department of Health as a national centre for craniofacial surgery and epilepsy surgery. Alder Hey is also a designated Paediatric major trauma unit.
We are excited to be recruiting qualified paediatric nurses at Band 5 to join our fantastic nursing team here at Alder Hey in the Park to care for our children and young people across our various wards and departments.
We value the skills and experience you would bring to Alder Hey to further enhance the already outstanding care that we deliver to the patients and their families.
At the event, to assist you in your professional and career development, you will have the opportunity to discuss your ward or specialty preferences with the Senior Nursing Team.
