Why This Theme?

Substantial gains were achieved in child survival in the era of the Millennium Development Goals, however much unfinished work remains, particularly in relation to reducing neonatal mortality.

In this, the era of the Sustainable Development Goals, there is a shift in our focus from survival alone to ensuring optimal child development and well being. We hope to explore this with a day of expert speakers and engaging workshops, allowing for fascinating insights and stimulating discussions.

Further information about the meeting can be found at -

The conference will feature a line up of world-leading speakers from Alder Hey, the University of Liverpool, the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine, the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and the University of Malawi.
