Extended hopsital stays with Heart Hero son Jake, led Claire's selfless commitment in ensuring a community and support network is available for parents in similar situations.
This fanstatsic team does various activities throughout the year, whether its organising Charity Balls, sponsored walks or assault courses, in order to raise funds for Alder Hey Children's Charity, room refurbishments for Ronald Mc Donald House Charity and sponsored camps abroad organized by Healing Little Hearts Charity.
Each Healing Little Heart Camp sponsored by Team 1C is named after, or in honour of, a child from the North West, who is also a heart hero.
Not only saving lives abroad, Team 1C give a little solace and make it a little bit easy in bereavement for those parents who lost their children knowing that their child is not forgotten and the child’s legacy lives on in a different part of the world through the lives these camps save.
Alder Hey Heart Centre's -Cardiac Surgeon Ram Dhannapuneni has been leading teams at camps across India and Africa with Healing Little Hearts Charity, performing successful surgery on children, which were previously believed to have inoperable conditions.

The team, in collaboration with the Heart Centre's official Twitter account @HeartCentreAld1, produced an online Advent Calendar for Christmas 2018 and 2019.
