Launch of the Department of International Child Health
Alder Hey Children’s NHS Foundation Trust

It is with great pleasure that we invite you to the launch of the Department of International Child Health at Alder Hey Children’s NHS Foundation Trust.

This exciting event will take place on Friday 9th November 2018 at The Institute in the Park,
Alder Hey Children’s Hospital, East Prescot Road, Liverpool, L14 5AB

The event will provide an opportunity to learn more about the work we undertake internationally which includes International Health Partnerships with low-income countries including Nepal, India and Malawi and business development activities in Dubai and China.

The Department of International Child Health has been established with an aim of contributing to improving the health of the World’s children and strengthening Alder Hey’s international reputation as a World leading paediatric healthcare provider.

Between 9.00am to 10.30am our guest speaker, Dr Sebastian Taylor, Head of Global Operations at the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health, London who will present on ‘Global Child Health: Opportunities and Choices’. This will be followed by an introduction to the Department of International Child Health from Professor Barry Pizer. If you have sufficient time you are welcome to stay for our International showcase and further talks as outlined in the programme.
