Getting to Dewi Jones

Our Dewi Jones Unit is our inpatient mental health facility, designed to help children and young people aged 5 to 13 who are going through a difficult time or struggling because of their way of thinking, their feelings, or with some difficult behaviour.

The unit is part of Alder Hey, but has its own building and grounds in Waterloo, near Crosby beach.

Public transport

Waterloo train station is three minutes’ walk from us and there is a bus stop which is just two minutes’ walk away. If you are coming in from the city centre the 63 or the 47 bus (Arriva) stop at this bust stop.

If you come in from Alder Hey Children's Hospital you can get the 61 (Arriva) from outside to Aintree then get off at the bus station at Bootle strand and then get the 47(Arriva) which will drop you on Crosby road North. Get off at the fire station, walk up Bramhall Road take a Left onto Park Road and we are about 200 yards down on your left.
