Alder Hey has made necessary plans to maintain the safety, welfare and service of those in our care during the Industrial Action planned on 20th December.
Anyone who is due to attend for a procedure or outpatient appointment should attend as usual unless they have heard otherwise. If an appointment or procedure has been cancelled, patients will have been contacted directly about this in advance.
Our Emergency Department will be open as normal, but we are seeing record attendances and you may have a long wait.
The following local Walk In Centres remain open:
- Old Swan Walk In Centre, 8am to 8pm
- St Chads, Kirby Walk In Centre, 8am to 8pm
- Smithdown Children’s Walk In Centre, 8am to 8pm
- City Walk In Centre, 10am to 8pm
- Garston Walk In Centre/South Liverpoool Treatment Centre, 1-8pm
We encourage you to contact NHS 111 before turning up to any Walk In Centres – find out more at https://www.merseycare.nhs.uk/our-services/liverpool/walk-centres
If it is not an emergency, please consider other options such as checking our Symptom Checker, visiting a pharmacist, contacting your GP, or visiting www.111.nhs.uk
