The ASD Pathway is an assessment service and we do not typically organise follow up for children with an ASD diagnosis. However, if there is a medical need for follow up (e.g. for an associated difficulty) this will be arranged so that the child will be seen by one of our developmental paediatricians.
In Sefton there is also a designated team who help to provide post diagnostic support for children and young people from 0-19 years who have a diagnosis of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) or Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Find out more.
We are also working in partnership with ADDvanced Solutions Community Network CIC, to provide a new post-diagnostic offer for parents/carers and young people.
