Please see our frequently asked questions (FAQs) below. Please read these before contacting us with a query. If you're question is not answered here, then please do get in touch.
Q1. How long do I have to wait for my fist appointment after being referred?
A. We work towards seeing all children to be seen within 8 weeks of referral following successful triage.
Q2. I live just outside Liverpool council boundaries and I am unsure of where to be referred?
A. Please ring our Community Physiotherapy office on 01514382090 to check eligibility for referral to our team.
Q3. How do I cancel / change my appointment?
A. We request that you call our office at the earliest opportunity if you need to change or cancel your appointment. Please note our first appointments are longer, more detailed, assessments and cancellation in advance will allow the appointment slot be reissued to the next child on the waiting list.
Q4. I want to apply to work with your team, how do I do this?
A. All our vacancies are advertised on the NHS jobs website. You can get in touch with us for an informal visit if you are interested. All requests will be dealt with on an individual basis.
Q5. Can I apply to get work experience with your team?
A. We are committed to having physiotherapy student placements from the University of Liverpool and our physiotherapists support these placements alongside their daily work schedule. Unfortunately we are unable to offer work experience places at this time.
Q6. What do I do if I want to make a complaint?
A. You can speak to our manager by ringing our office on 01514382090. Alternatively, you can contact the Alder Hey Complaints Team on 0151 252 5374
Q7. What do I do if I want to give a compliment?
A. We are always happy to receive any positive feedback. This can be done via telephone, letter or via the Alder Hey website. Contact information can be found on the Contact us (TAB) page.
Q8. How often will I see my physiotherapist?
A. All physiotherapy programmes are tailored to the need identified from assessment. Your physiotherapist will discuss this in detail during your joint goal setting and treatment planning.
